We welcome anyone who has suffered or are currently suffering from a "disaster" in their life.  It can be a financial hardship, medical problem, natural disaster, etc... 

To recieve a prom dress:

  • You MUST be currently enrolled in high school and present a valid high school ID or other proof of current enrollment.
  • You MUST also be eligible for free/reduced lunch (show us a lunch card) or be referred by a community or school leader (youth leader, teacher, principal, etc...) Please email us at info@disasterdivas.org to recieve a referral form.  You can mail these back to us or bring them with you the day of the event!  YOU MUST HAVE A REFERRAL FORM FILLED OUT TO RECIEVE A DRESS!

To recieve a bridal dress:

  • You MUST be currently planning a wedding within 6 months of the giveaway.
  • You must also be referred by a clergy/church member.  Please email us at info@disasterdivas.org to recieve a referral form.  You can mail these back to us or bring them with you the day of the event!  YOU MUST HAVE A REFERRAL FORM FILLED OUT TO RECIEVE A DRESS!

What to Expect at the Giveaway Event:

  • Step 1

When you arrive you will sign-in by giving your referral form to a Disaster Diva volunteer and she will give you a participant number.  While you wait you will also fill out a smaller form asking what type of attire you are looking for, dress size, shoe size, etc... 

Your number will be called when a Disaster Diva personal shopper is available to assist you.

  • Step 2

Your Disaster Diva personal shopper will help guide you through the process of finding that perfect dress!  They are there to help you sort through our extensive selection and to offer advice.  You are allowed to have one female guest (mom, sister, your BFF, etc..)  Please NO CHILDREN!

You are allowed to take 4 dresses into the dressing rooms at a time.  This allows us to turnover the dressing rooms faster so each girl has a chance to try on her dresses.  You are welcome to make as many trips to the dressing rooms as needed, but only 4 dresses at a time.

  • Step 3

After you have found that perfect dress, you personal shopper will guide you over to the shoes/accessories area to try to find something to compliment your gown.

  • Step 4

Once you have found your entire ensemble you will head to the checkout area.  You will then be able to fill-out a give-away form to win free gift certifcates for hair/nail services, makeup, dinner, etc...  Also, your dress will be bagged and we will package up your accessories.

  • Step 5

We will then take your picture with you new dress under our Disaster Diva sign!  You will also be able to fill out a comment section telling us about your experience so we can better serve girls in the future!

  • Step 6

You can email us pictures from your event in your new dress at info@disasterdivas.org   We would love to see you at your special event in your new attire!
